In 1999 First Washington and the University of Incarnate Word of San Antonio, Texas, became the first international team to be a warded a license to build own and operate a western standard university in China. The university facilities built on two square kilometers of land include classroom and administration buildings, dormitories, science and computer labs, and sports facilities. China Incarnate Word students receive US accredited university degrees without the need to travel abroad.

The First Washington education team has already embarked on an elaborate expansion program and will begin offering additional education programs including MBA degrees by end of this year.
